I didn’t find trance particularly appealling until I was given Euphoria Hard House Mixed by Lisa Lashes by a girl at school who was convinced I’d “love it”. I didn’t, although it did spark my interest in dance music, namely Binary Finary’s 1998 and Liquid Child’s Diving Faces. Had it not been for my depressive mentality during my teens, those would have cemented dance music as my favourite genre.
In 2005 a friend re-introduced me to dance music in the form of progressive house and trance and I was instantly hooked. Luckily I had the best introduction, hearing underground progressive to classic trance anthems. Paul Oakenfold – Zoo York, Matthew Dekay – Beautiful Monday and Sasha – Xpander catapulted my interest in the genre and remain favourites.
My mixes are usually geared towards high-energy melodic, mixed with deep progressive trance and some house thrown in. What I’m currently listening to. My rarely changing blog or Twitter.
